A bag is a photographer's most important item and it helps to have the right things inside. In the past year I changed my camera bag to a backpack that has dividers and it has been a lifesaver. The dividers are velcroed onto the side of the bag so I can make the slots as big as I want. The bag also came with a weather protector bag to go over it. I got to use it for the first time this year at the beach and it kept the sand out really well.
When choosing a bag one of the things I really wanted was to be able to put my tripod in there. My tripod is very large and takes up a lot of space and this bag has a perfect little slot for it to go! To go along with my tripod, something that I don't carry with me often is a camera stick. You just put your camera on top of it and use it basically like a tripod without all the extra legs.
My next items are the most important ones, the camera and lenses. I am currently shooting with a Canon EOS R6 and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately the lens I had didn’t fit the camera so I had to get a lens adapter and luckily I can use the lenses. The lenses that I have are Canon 18-55mm and 75-300mm. I love these ones and hope to expand my collection soon.
Some of the smaller items I carry with me are: lens hoods, camera remote, battery charger, and a hard drive. I don’t tend to use these items that much but it is always good to have them on hand.
Here is a wonderful picture of me using the tripod and remote last year in Canada
